The summer of 2008 will be highlighted by the visit of my good friend, Rob Holland. We were on the 2004 AWAC team and competed in Sweden. The 2008 AWAC was held in Pendelton,
Oregon and I had invited Rob to stop over and break up his trip. Rob had a long way to go because Nashua, New Hampshire is where he hangs his hat. Or parks his plane.
We were able to get some practice in down in Waseca, MN with fellow chapter member
Loren Smith. Loren and I learned more from Rob in one afternoon than we could have from each other in a year.
I had hoped it was going to pay off for Rob. Well it did because he pulled it all together and became the 2008 World Advanced Champion!
Congrats’ Buddy!
